Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECA)
The Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECA) scheme is a key part of the Government’s programme to manage climate change. An ECA enables a business to claim 100% first-year capital allowances on their spending on qualifying plant and machinery. Certain energy efficient lighting products fall within the energy category.
When installing certain SolEco products you will be eligible to write off the whole of the capital cost of this investment against your taxable profits of the period during which the investment is made. Carbon Trust Loans - Interest Free
The Carbon Trust loans scheme has been set up purely to offer businesses assistance in implementing energy efficient initiatives. It is available to all small and medium sized enterprises within England, Scotland and Wales that have been trading for at least 12 months. The Carbon Trust Loans available are all unsecured, range from £5,000 to £200,000, are completely interest free, have no arrangement fees and can be repaid over a term of up to 48 months. The whole process is really quite straightforward and, through energy savings, could repay itself within 2-3 years.
